Presented By Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist
Ester Horowitz CMC CITRMS
Hosted by Corey Stein and Victor Urbach
The next Professional Roundtable Breakfast will be held at the
HAMPTON INN near Home Depot at 120 JERICHO TURNPIKE in Jericho on
Friday, March 19th 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM
Background: Identity theft is a serious crime. People whose identities have been stolen can spend months or years and thousands of dollars cleaning up the mess the thieves have made of a good name and credit record. In the meantime, victims of identity theft may lose job opportunities, be refused loans for education, housing, or cars, and even get arrested for crimes they didn't commit. Humiliation, anger, and frustration are among the feelings victims experience as they navigate the process of rescuing their identity.
About the Program: Ester Horowitz will discuss how identity information is compromised, how identity thieves use personal information to commit crimes, and what to do if your personal information has been lost or stolen. She will describe best practices for securing sensitive information in your practice as well as in your personal life.
Who Should Attend?: Attorneys, accountants, bankers, and allied professionals who wish to protect themselves and their clients against identity theft.
